The transition from your baby’s bassinet to their cot might seem overwhelming at first, but you may find that it’s not as daunting as you expected once you’ve made the move 🥰
Here are our tips to make the transition from bassinet to cot easier for both you and your baby:
🥰 Sleep with their cot sheets for a few nights to transfer your familiar scent onto them
🥰 Get them familiar with their new environment by incorporating some playtime and tummy time in their cot during the day to familiarise them with their new surroundings
🥰 Start putting your baby in their cot during the day for their naps, while continuing use their bassinet for night sleep (provided they aren’t rolling yet)
🥰 Ensure that all the same positive sleep associations are maintained in their new sleeping environment, including their sleeping bag, white noise, comforters (if over 7 months of age), a pitch-black room, and a comfortable room temperature
🥰 After a few days of having naps in their cot during the day, they will have become very familiar with their new room. At this point, you can fully transition them to using their cot for all naps and night sleep 🤩🫶🏻🌸
