Can essential oils improve sleep? Part I ♡

Essential oils have been found to promote sleep, reduce stress, and relieve physical pain and discomfort 🤯💫

As part of your wind-down routine, we recommend incorporating a diffuser with lavender or chamomile essential oils. Both lavender and chamomile are gentle and can be particularly beneficial if your baby has difficulty sleeping. Chamomile, known for its natural soothing properties, is traditionally used to treat insomnia in both babies and adults. Additionally, chamomile and lavender can help relieve symptoms of colic 🫶🏻

A study revealed a significant reduction in the stress hormone, cortisol, for both mother and baby when using lavender essential oils. This supports the behavioural data that lavender essential oils enhance relaxation and contribute to promoting sleep 😴

In another study with newborns aged 2-6 weeks, the use of lavender essential oils during a tummy massage led to a reduction in colic symptoms and the duration of crying compared to those who didn’t incorporate essential oils.
